Guardrails

Akrobat guardrails are installed on elevated surfaces such as metal or concrete roofs to prevent falls and provide a protective barrier for workers. Akrobat guardrails are only made of lightweight anodised aluminium which

a) reduces overall weight on the roof,

b) Requires less maintenance due to corrosion free,

c) Quick and easy to install.

Guardrails are often required by safety regulations and building codes to ensure compliance with established safety standards with a standard height of 1100mm for example.

Based on the layout, Akrobat will plan and design the running path of the guardrail according to the clients' needs.

Guardrails can incorporate features such as openings or gates to allow authorised personnel to access restricted areas while still providing protection for others. This balance between accessibility and safety is crucial in environments where controlled access is necessary.

Overall, guardrails are essential safety features that play a vital role in protecting individuals from falls and hazards in various settings.

Walkways

Aluminium and FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) walkways are two common types of elevated walkway systems used in industrial, commercial, and outdoor environments.

Both aluminum and FRP walkways offer unique advantages depending on the specific requirements and environmental conditions of the application. Whether you need a lightweight, corrosion-resistant solution for outdoor use or a durable, non-conductive option for industrial settings, there is likely a walkway system suitable for your needs.

Aluminium

Aluminum walkways are popular in various settings due to their durability, lightweight nature, and resistance to corrosion.

These walkways can be found in residential, commercial, and industrial applications, providing safe and stable walking surfaces in diverse environments. Should the structure have a limited loading per metre square, Aluminium is the only choice for such applications. Other solutions such as PVC would poise to be too heavy.

Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP)

FRP walkways are made from Fiber Reinforced Polymer composite materials, which typically consist of a combination of fiberglass and resin. This construction provides excellent strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance, making FRP walkways ideal for outdoor and corrosive environments.

FRP walkways are highly resistant to corrosion, rust, and chemical degradation, making them suitable for use in marine environments, chemical processing plants, wastewater treatment facilities, and other corrosive settings.

FRP walkways are non-conductive and non-magnetic, making them safe for use in electrical or magnetic fields. They are also slip-resistant, even when wet, providing a secure walking surface for pedestrians in both indoor and outdoor settings.
