Security Fence 358

A "358 security fence" is a type of high-security fencing designed to provide robust protection and prevent unauthorized access. The term "358" refers to the dimensions of the mesh used in the fence: 3 inches by 0.5 inches by 8 gauge wire (approximately 76.2 mm x 12.7 mm x 4 mm). This specific construction offers several security advantages:

  1. Anti-Climb: The small openings in the mesh make it extremely difficult to get a foothold or handhold, preventing climbing attempts.

  2. Anti-Cut: The use of 8 gauge wire makes the fence very resistant to cutting with standard tools, enhancing its durability against vandalism and forced entry.

  3. Visibility: Despite its robustness, the mesh design allows for good visibility, making it easier for security personnel to monitor through the fence.

  4. Strength and Durability: The 358 mesh is welded at each intersection, providing a high level of strength and resistance to impact.

Many 358 security fences can be customized with additional features such as:

  • Barbed Wire or Razor Wire: Added to the top for increased security.

  • Electric Fencing: Integrated for an added deterrent and alarm system.

  • Coating: Typically galvanized or PVC-coated to prevent corrosion and extend the lifespan of the fence.

  •

Installing a 358 security fence typically involves setting strong posts at regular intervals, securing the mesh panels to these posts, and ensuring that the fence is properly grounded if it includes electrified components. Professional installation is recommended to ensure maximum security and durability.
